Ethiopia is a nation that has a remarkable civilization and more than three millennium of historical continuity. Honorable Ana Gomes,
Members of the European Parliament
Ladies and Gentlemen,

Strategic Blunder of Historic Proportion
March 31, 2010 (Statement)
As dismayed as we are to hear the news of the EU's decision to send a team of election observers to monitor the 2010 sham election in Ethiopia; we are also gratified by the unflappable courage and principled stand of Ms. Ana Gomes, who led the EU-EOM team to Ethiopia in 2005. We salute her commitment to democracy and social justice in Ethiopia and around the world................

The Desperate Acts Of a Dying Regime: Invoking the Rwanda Genocide to Jam VOA-Amharic Service
March 25, 2010 (Statement)
Five years ago, when the TPLF regime lost ground in the general elections, Meles Zenawi went out of his mind and compared the captivating Ethiopian opposition to the "Interhamwe", a group of young Hutu males who carried out the Rwandan Genocide. Five years later, and as recently as last week, Meles Zenawi once again brazenly compared the VOA Amharic service broadcasts, to Radio Mille Collines, the infamous Rwandan radio station that incited the Hutus to kill the Tutsis................
